August gave us the kind of moments that belong on the wall: earned signatures, backflips above the Poconos, and the first look at a meaningful October weekend. Here is what happened this month, what is coming next, and how you can make your own story part of the drop zone.
What Happened in August
You Earn the Signature
We started a new tradition: the signature board. After your skydive, you can sign it and leave your mark at Above the Poconos. Every jump becomes part of our story, just as we become part of yours. If you want to add your name, the board is ready when you are.
Backflips Brought the Energy
Take in the view before the jump, then watch our experienced skydivers add a backflip to the exit. If moves like this make you want more than a tandem, start your training with us, earn your skydiving license, and work toward trying one for yourself.
What’s Coming Up Next
Pink Skies Return This October
We are excited to kick off our 3rd Annual Breast Cancer Skydiving Weekend with the return of the It’s Pink Above the Poconos 5K Run/Walk. Whether you participate in the sky or on the course, every step, jump, and shared moment will help make a difference.
Cancer survivors can make a tandem skydive for the special price of $220.
$35 from every qualifying regular-priced tandem skydive will benefit the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley.
Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026
Time: 5K registration opens at 7:15 a.m.
Race begins at 8:00 a.m.

Fall Foliage Special: The Poconos From Above
September brings a new view of the Pocono Mountains. See the fall colors for yourself, then bring home the photos and video so your family can experience it too.
During September only, book a tandem skydive with handcam photo and video for $328 plus tax, regularly $378. You can also choose a tandem skydive with outside video for $397 plus tax, regularly $404.
