Nationwide skydiving gift certificates do NOT exist in the United States
because they are not accepted by reputable skydiving centers across the nation!

Because of this, these companies often will send your gift recipient for a long drive that they were not expecting.
(Some people have driven over eight hours and several states away!)

These middlemen have inundated the web with almost 1000 very legitimate looking websites that make it appear that they are a reputable skydiving center close to you or your loved one.

They advertise low prices to reel you in and then add all sorts of extraneous fees when your loved one arrives to skydive!
They count on the fact that they have already driven so far that they will just pay the extra in order to go.

They overbook and don't care if they make your loved one wait all day,
just to be told that they will have to stay over and go the next day.

Another trick they like to use, is to call a day or two before and tell your loved one that the weather is not good,
and that they need to reschedule. but that they are all booked up for the next few months.
They hope that your loved one will get discouraged and never actually book.
If they do reschedule, they generally charge them a rescheduling fee despite the fact that they are the reason that you are rescheduling.
Weather forecasting is not that accurate and the determination is best made on the day of the jump.

To find a reputable skydiving center, check out the list of U.S. Parachute Association member dropzones. The United States Parachute Association (USPA) is the only regulatory agency for sport skydiving in the USA. The USPA is a membership organization recognized by the FAI, that maintains and regulates skydiving centers which abide by the association's Basic Safety Regulations. These middlemen have had their memberships revoked from the USPA, so they made up there own National Skydiving Association, it is not recognized by any national or international groups.
Here is what the USPA has had to say about the scam artists and their warning.

Above the Poconos Skydivers does NOT
and never has accepted any nationwide skydiving gift certificates.
If you want a skydiving gift certificate for our center, buy it directly from us.

BTW - These scam artists have infiltrated the entire adventure sports industry. Please be careful.
